A podcast is a series of audio or video digital-media files which is distributed over the Internet by syndicated download, through Web feeds, to portable media players and personal computers. Though the same content may also be made available by direct download or streaming, a podcast is distinguished from other digital-media formats by its ability to be syndicated, subscribed to, and downloaded automatically when new content is added. I personally use all these media with my ipod and having updated information right at the moment is something that can’t thank enough. Just take in consideration that any update is something new you will have to learn how to use or adjust yourself to this new update. We are learning unconsciously!

Some of us already are part of this Podcasting technology. In my case I am learning step by step, I do not have an IPOD…. just and MP3, but I think as you said, we have to practice and setup our devices to receive those updates.

Exactly what have you learned from the podcast you download. I have an ipod but I don’t use it for that. What are some of the podcast you are listening to that benefit web developers? If you know of any please share with me.

Very true. It’s how we use it that it benefits us. Even for entertainment it is still a teaching tool. They saved me and my ex’s life when we went to Guatemala. We prepared our ipods with podcasts from NPR and WNYCs Radio Lab. The long bus hours from town to town weren’t as bad with something to listen to. We’d listen and learn. I personally can’t read in a moving vehicle, I get nauseous. =]
